Gone are the days when you wonder whether or not your nonprofit’s technology is optimized for your needs. Instead, you’ll have the answers you need to move forward confidently.
Our step-by-step process will evaluate your local and global networks to help streamline your IT systems. Together, we’ll build a customized tech strategy that fits your budget and moves you closer to your goals.
1 | Alignment (Internal Meeting with Stakeholders)Participants from HQ and country offices are first introduced to the Global Network Assessment Program. We’ll start by identifying expectations and network challenges and reviewing the project's scope and overall timeline. |
2 | Assessment and Analysis (Preliminary information gathering and detailed network analysis) Your project manager and HQ will guide each country office through our preliminary network assessment — a collaborative deep-dive to help discover exactly what problems exist while exploring possible solutions. |
3 | Review and Planning (Internal Meeting with Execute Stakeholders) In collaboration with HQ, your project manager will create a unique organization-wide plan. Each country office leader will review recommendations for their office, including costs and timelines. Participants will provide feedback, then HQ will prioritize changes across all offices in the program. |
4 | Implementation Each country office will lead network changes based on the recommendations inside their customized improvement plan. HQ and Telecom4Good support this process, helping procure equipment and providing necessary training. |
5 | Follow Up Telecom4Good will ensure the preparedness of each country office to manage their new IT solutions and address any additional needs. In addition, HQ will review the final program report, and all participants will provide feedback to improve the process for future partners. |

A Self-Guided, A Do-It-Yourself Approach
A step-by-step plan provided by Telecom4Good lays out the structure of your assessment and the information needed. Nonprofits will follow this plan, acquiring said information, to analyze and provide a strategy for improving each office’s network and mitigating IT challenges together.
A Done-With-You Approach
Our assisted assessment allows you to choose the stages you would like Telecom4Good to deep dive into. We’ll answer your questions, review your strategy, and provide you with proposed solutions.
A Done-With-You Assessment
The guided assessment involves us working hand in hand with your stakeholders before the assessment process begins. Together, we’ll create the communications and pre-surveys, while gathering detailed information and worksheets we’ll use for analysis and executive review. In addition, we’ll work with you inside each stage until your project is fully implemented and your satisfaction surveys are completed.

How could you utilize this program to further your mission?
Most participants of our Global Network Assessment Program are decentralized, encouraging their local offices to make their own operational decisions. Many times, with this decentralized environment, local offices may not be aware of network security issues, how to leverage economy of scale, and IT best practices.
This program takes a deep dive into all of these areas through surveys, feedback studies, live conference calls, and follow-up documents. Our detailed approach makes it easy for local offices to share and provide information to optimize their processes.
The self-guided (DIY) assessment helps to develop your strategy and information gathering. Telecom4Good will provide documents with what you need to consider, as well as the information you need to gather. In addition, we will provide you with a thought process to manage the assessment with your local office and create an effective action plan.
The assisted assessment will provide you with the documents and information from the self-guided (DIY) assessment, and you choose which step(s) you want Telecom4Good to deep dive into.
Our Telecom4Good guided assessment involves experts uncovering critical data from your offices. Having performed 40+ assessments, we deeply understand the questions to ask and the data to collect from your nonprofit. In addition, we’re here to help your headquarters understand the severity of existing issues in each office and how to quickly mitigate and solve said issues.
Many aspects of your technology will be addressed throughout our research that a local office may not think is important but can have a significant impact on your operations. Additionally, when our team guides the assessment, the local office staff is in control. They’re no longer subject to the thoughts or decisions of their HQ. Bridging the gap between the local office and HQ through collaboration is key.
Our clients have shared that we have helped mitigate issues, solve problems, save donor funds, and positively impact staff productivity they wouldn’t have been able to experience without our guidance.
Not exactly. The information we provide to you for the self-guided (DIY) assessment gives more of an overview of what information you need to think about in speaking with your stakeholders about this assessment and collecting from your country offices. In addition, we will provide you with a thought process to manage the assessment with your local office and create an effective action plan.
The Telecom4Good guided assessment is an in-depth, detailed step-by-step process on how to conduct this assessment. In addition, Telecom4Good is with you every step of the way to help guide you, gather the necessary information, and develop a strategic plan for moving forward.
Two or more offices that are not inside your same region are ideal. The more distance apart, the greater value the Global Network Assessment Program will provide your organization.
We’ve broken the Global Network Assessment Program down into 5 stages. Each stage has a different timeline based on the number of stakeholders and participating offices.
The Global Network Assessment Program is designed to be non-intrusive to local
staff that might not have IT expertise. Each request will build on the previous and gather additional information from different aspects of the nonprofit.
Many people might not know the answer to all questions but may send images of what they believe is being requested. Each image will uncover areas to clarify later in the assessment, helping you provide the most significant positive impact to each local office. Additionally, when responses are clarified, offices will feel engaged and integral to the process versus simply answering questions without knowing the outcome.
Yes! You can switch from the self-guided (DIY) assessment to either the assisted or Telecom4Good guided assessments at any time.
