Do you have unused technology equipment taking up space at your offices? Increase the sustainability of your IT infrastructure by partnering with Telecom4Good to help recycle your equipment.
As the first certified nonprofit partner in Cisco’s Takeback and Reuse Program, Telecom4Good makes it easy for nonprofits to return end-of-use gear to Cisco with the Nonprofit IT Equipment Recycling .
Simple
The Cisco IT Equipment Recycling Program is easy, convenient, and free. By taking advantage of this program, you can not only positively impact our planet but make a difference within each of your offices and their respective communities.
Secure
After your equipment is returned, Cisco takes extra steps to ensure your security. Equipment is stored in a secure location, and data is cleared from reclaimed hard drives to protect data security.
Sustainable
Cisco reuses or recycles 99.9% of what is returned, helping you meet your sustainability goals and ensure responsible equipment disposal. Plus, nonprofits aren’t limited to just Cisco equipment — our team can help you recycle other technology as well.
“At Telecom4Good, we believe that sustainability is essential to powering an inclusive future for all. In today's business climate, being environmentally sustainable is incredibly important to our nonprofit NGO clients around the world. Besides being good for the planet, achieving higher levels of sustainability is a catalyst for change.”

Take a look at Cisco’s approach to the circular model and its benefits to our planet.
Currently, we’re using more natural resources than our planet can regenerate. By shifting toward a circular economy, we can better utilize these resources and combat climate change. Take a look at how Cisco is committed to moving away from a linear economy.
This program comes from Cisco, a leader in the IT industry, that makes it simple, secure, and sustainable for organizations to return end-of-use gear. Telecom4Good actively supports Cisco’s goal to move toward a circular economy.
Telecom4Good is here to help facilitate the takeback process — helping your nonprofit return its equipment and make a positive impact on the environment.
Currently, the Cisco Returns Program is available in more than 150 countries worldwide. However, those with equipment in other countries can email Cisco with a brief description of their equipment and where they’re located so they can assist you with your request.
The financial incentive of this program is free pickup and returns at no extra cost to your nonprofit. Plus, you’re making a positive impact on the environment and your sustainability goals.
Cisco runs a data wiping software on all equipment returned. If their software (certified to meet U.S. NIST 800-88R1 Guidelines for Media Sanitation) indicates that the data wiping process failed, the equipment will be repaired and run through the process again or securely destroyed.
Cisco does accept some non-Cisco equipment. Have a conversation with our team about your next step.
