It’s a small word. Small changes can have a positive impact on the environment when we prioritize sustainability. We’re here to help you create meaningful change for everyone.

Environmental Sustainability Mission

At Telecom4Good, we are committed to environmental sustainability and strive to be responsible stewards of our planet. We believe that small actions can create significant positive change. Through our collective efforts, we aim to minimize our ecological footprint and inspire others to join us in creating a sustainable future.

Our mission is to integrate sustainable practices into our organization's operations. We will:

  1. 1
Reduce our environmental impact by conserving energy, water, and resources.
  2. 2
Promote waste reduction and recycling to minimize landfill waste.
  3. 3
Educate and raise awareness among our employees, clients, board members, and the broader community about the importance of sustainability.
  4. 4
Seek partnerships and collaborations with like-minded organizations to amplify our impact and create a network of change-makers.
  5. 5
Continuously evaluate and improve our sustainability practices to set an example for others.

By embodying these principles, we will not only contribute to a healthier planet but also foster a culture of sustainability within our organization. Together, we can make a difference and inspire others to join us on this journey towards a more sustainable future.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy

Purpose:

Our organization is committed to operating in a socially responsible manner, recognizing that our actions have an impact on the communities and environment around us. Our CSR policy serves as a framework for integrating social and environmental considerations into our decision-making processes and daily operations.

Environmental Sustainability:

We will strive to minimize our ecological footprint by implementing energy-saving measures, promoting waste reduction and recycling, and conserving water resources.

We will seek to procure environmentally friendly products and services whenever possible, considering factors such as resource efficiency, recyclability, and low environmental impact.

We will support initiatives and collaborate with partners to raise awareness about environmental sustainability and advocate for responsible environmental practices.

Social Responsibility:

We will foster a diverse, inclusive, and respectful work environment that values the well-being and development of our employees. This includes promoting work-life balance and providing equal opportunities.

We will engage with our local communities, seeking opportunities to contribute positively through volunteering, partnerships, and supporting local initiatives that align with our mission and values.

We will uphold high ethical standards and integrity in all aspects of our operations, including transparency, fair business practices, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Stakeholder Engagement:

We will actively engage with our stakeholders, including employees, volunteers, partners, and the broader community, to understand their expectations and concerns regarding our social and environmental impacts.

We will communicate openly and transparently, sharing information about our CSR initiatives, progress, and challenges, and actively seeking feedback and input from stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

We will regularly assess and evaluate our CSR performance and initiatives to identify areas for improvement.

We will set targets and goals to drive progress in our social and environmental performance and regularly report on our achievements.

We will promote a culture of learning and innovation, encouraging employees to contribute their ideas and suggestions for enhancing our CSR practices.

By implementing this CSR policy, we aim to be a responsible and accountable organization that creates a positive impact on society and the environment. We recognize that our CSR journey is ongoing and that we must continuously evolve our practices to meet the changing needs and expectations of our stakeholders.

Company-Level Environmental Sustainability Goals

At Telecom4Good, we're committed to reducing our environmental impact by reducing our carbon emissions. As a small nonprofit, we believe that even small changes can have a big impact. That's why we've set two company-level environmental sustainability goals to reduce Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions:

1. Carbon Emissions Reduction Target:

We've assessed our current carbon emissions footprint and have set a target to reduce our carbon emissions by 25% by 2024. This target includes reducing Scope 1 emissions (direct emissions from our own operations, such as our electric vehicle), Scope 2 emissions (indirect emissions from the electricity we consume), and Scope 3 emissions (indirect emissions from our supply chain such as the emissions from manufacturing and transportation of products we use). We'll be tracking our progress towards this target and sharing updates with our stakeholders.

2. Sustainable Procurement Policy:

We're committed to choosing sustainable products and services in our business operations. That's why we're implementing a sustainable procurement policy to reduce our Scope 3 emissions. This policy will guide us in selecting suppliers who have sustainable practices, use renewable energy, and choose products in our work areas that conserve energy. We'll also be choosing products with low embodied carbon and circular design principles. Our goal is to source at least 40% of our products and services from sustainable suppliers by 2024. By implementing a sustainable procurement policy, we'll be making a difference in reducing our environmental impact while supporting other sustainable businesses.

We're excited about these two company-level environmental sustainability goals, and we hope you'll join us in our efforts to create a more sustainable future. Stay tuned for updates on our progress towards these goals and other sustainability initiatives we're undertaking at Telecom4Good.
